Circus

The circus is about to begin. Government at its best, and Politics at its worse. Listening to those in Congress, but not on the judiciary committee, the first Latina judge will be able to make good decisions or will end democracy and the world as we know it. It is a foregone conclusion that she will be confirmed by the Senate. So for the next few days, I hope, or the next few weeks I hope not, everyone on the committee will be having a pissing contest. So…turn on the TV, find a good seat, and watch one of the Greatest Shows on Earth. What other country would do this? Live hearings on all the news channels so that any American can learn about the nominee and the committee that interviews her. Of course the downside is that seeing the committee in action does not always give one faith in the process.

Flagstaff made it to 88° before the monsoon arrived to drop the temperature a good 10° in about 15 minutes. It was a real loud thunderstorm. A hard rain fell about 30 minutes over here. Reminded me of the beauty of Flagstaff. It has been getting hot every day, and little relief until the sun goes down. I started early this morning to set up my deck. I’m really glad I got it done, as it will be great this evening.
