Another
warm day. Not complaining…just hoping for some moisture.
When
I started driving gas was $0.35/gal…in today’s money that’s $2.71/gal. Hmmm
There
were at least 4 demonstrations around Flagstaff last night. All peaceful. All went
a short time past curfew. The largest was on the East side of town with about
300 people. Officers at that one joined in on the chant ‘Black Lives Matter’.
Sure glad it was peaceful.
On
the other side, there was a random shooter on US89 just of the Rez toward
Flagstaff. A Navajo Elderly female had her windshield shot. Thankfully no one
was injured. Cops from the Rez and from State Patrol and County Sheriff
responded but found no suspects. There were two other cars damaged.
’Duty
to Act’ laws are now the big topic. Laws that require law enforcement to step
in when an officer is breaking the law or face jail and fines. That is a good
first step.
Some
probationary cop in Denver was fired for posting on Instagram with a pic of officers
in riot gear and the caption: Let’s start a riot. Good job Denver!
