My Rambling Thoughts

A great Sunday to sit on the deck and read the Sunday paper....on my tablet. It is not the same as a hard copy, but works for now.

To all the Star War Fans: May the fourth be with you!

A local veterinarian was locked out of his building by the landlord for not paying rent. In less than 9 hours a Go-Fund-Me page raised the $22,000 to reopen the vet's office. Landlord claims he didn't pay rent for 2 months. Vet is saying he was moving out. Courts will decide if lock-out is legal during the Covid-19 thing. Always at least 2 sides to every story.

I hope the medical community is looking at the down-side of the major push for hand washing, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. Humans have a fairly powerful immune system. If the immune system has no bacteria, virus, etc. to kill, it loses some of its strength. Before this pandemic, I washed my hands a couple of times a day...usually after using the restroom or when cooking. I read an article several years ago not to overuse hand sanitizer as it can harm the natural immune system I already have. I do want businesses to keep their carts sanitized. However, I keep in mind that overusing hand sanitizer and too much hand washing can hurt my immune system. While I don't want Covid—19 to invade my body, most other virus and bacteria that have been around forever are OK. I know...a very fine line.
