What amazing events in Egypt today…and so unfortunate that the US gets less than accurate information though the media. While I am concerned for the safety of people I know in Egypt, I had a FB conversation with my friend. He is taking a tour group to Egypt on Friday and has been assured that it will be safe to travel. I have known him long enough to know that he would not take tourists to his beloved country if he didn’t know they would be safe. He was actually more concerned about Egypt under Mosi than he is now. What a difficult situation. The US wasn’t happy when the Muslim Brotherhood was elected into Egypt’s highest office, in the country’s first democratic election in its long history. Now while many were concerned about Mosi’s slow transition to democracy, it was an accepted fair election. Now that the military has taken him out of office, we are certainly between a rock and a hard place. And we need Egypt as our friend for the Suez Canal, and as a stop gap between Israel and the Arab world.Sounds like there was lots of moisture around Flag today, but I only had a small amount right at my place. Yesterday, some areas got about 1.75” in the afternoon, causing some scary flooding in the lower lying areas around downtown. Flagstaff and surrounding areas certainly need moisture, but not all at once.Getting ready for the 4th. Annual small town parade tomorrow morning, then will see what happens. No big plans but am sure something will come up. It always does.

WADSWORTH, Ohio - An Ohio Bigfoot believer told a library audience he is one of hundreds of people to spot a sasquatch wandering the state's woods. Marc DeWerth, a member of the Ohio Bigfoot Association, told the crowd of more than 60 people during his Saturday lecture at the Wadsworth Public Library that he sighted one of the never-confirmed creatures personally near east-central Coshocton County's Wills Creek on April 20, 1997, The Medina County Gazette reported Monday. "I was always the guy to say I'd take the fur off its back if I ever saw one," he said. "But what I saw intimidated me." DeWerth showed the crowd video images he took during the encounter. The video appears to depict a hairy creature moving near some trees. DeWerth said rangers told him Bigfoot sightings had been reported in the area for 20 years. He said there have been hundreds of sightings reported by hunters, farmers and other travelers in Medina, Wayne and Summit counties. However, DeWerth cautioned his audience that most Bigfoot sightings are mistakes or hoaxes. "Be skeptical," DeWerth said. "This is fantastic subject matter, but you have to be honest with yourself."
Somewhat Useless Information
- The 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence did not sign at the same time, nor did they sign on July 4, 1776. The official event occurred on August 2, 1776, when 50 men signed it. The names of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were withheld from the public for more than six months to protect the signers. If independence had not been achieved, the treasonable act of the signers would have, by law, resulted in their deaths.
