My Rambling Thoughts
Sam’s Club day. Old People’s grocery shopping day. Both very successful. Saved money and got stuff that was needed.

Parking has become a minor issue here at my complex. One neighbor has 4 vehicles, the other has 6. Because of summer visitors. I have changed my parking habit. I have not parked directly in front of my place since we are required to have a parking permit with the name of our complex displayed in the front window. To park in front of any unit, one needs a permit. But to park in the area around the ‘commons’, no permit is needed. (This adds about 30 feet to the walk from the car to the unit…good exercise for me!) It may sound strange, but let’s say I buy a big screen TV at a local store. The guy who helps me loads it now knows where I live. If he decides he wants my TV he can drive over here, but since my vehicle isn’t parked in front of my unit, he has no idea which unit to rob. Well, the hassle of finding parking around the commons has become more of an issue than to park in front of my unit. Guess I’m not too old to change. This change also means that when I have my front door open, I see my vehicle just about 15’ away, which means I guess I will be washing my dirty vehicle more often, now that I see it all the time.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
