MY FREE RAMBLING THOUGHTS
Flag had a really nice spring day. I was able to take a nice walk through the neighborhood and beyond. So nice to have a day with no wind and warm temps.
This afternoon I did attack on of my mail piles and got that cleaned up. Nothing exciting was found, but at least one pile is gone.
I really need to get my vehicle washed, but didn’t do it today. Maybe tomorrow. There is no wet weather for the next week, so I can enjoy the clean ride for a little while.
Things are getting weird in Wisconsin. It sure is beginning to look like many politicians in the Republican Party have gotten together to break the unions. None of them campaigned on this last November, but suddenly, the unions are the scrape goat for budget problems. Sadly, this is also an attack on the middle class beliefs. Our middle class is disappearing and the gap between middle class and the wealthy is getting ever larger.
I got a strange request for a recommendation today. When I was at Red Lake—back in the mid to late 80’s we had a business tech. She left the Bureau about 4 years ago. Now she asked me for a recommendation. If I was still in the hiring mode and I got a letter that talked about an employees work of that long ago, I would wonder for sure. I liked her and she was helpful so I will write something.

ROME — He avoided Italian police for a decade on the run but couldn't resist his wife's lasagna.
Police say Giancarlo Sabatini went into hiding in 2000, shortly after being given a 3-year, 8-month prison sentence in a cocaine trafficking case.
Acting on a tip, police staked out the homes of Sabatini's wife and daughter Tuesday in Rocca Priora, a town near Rome. When they spied the daughter leaving her mother's house and furtively dashing toward her home bearing a tray of lasagna, police, suspecting a secret guest, burst in and arrested Sabatini.
Many Italians prepare lasagna with meat sauce for lunch on the last Tuesday of Carnival. Police say Sabatini came from his hideout in Belgium to celebrate the last day before Lent with his family.
