My Rambling Thoughts

Clouds are moving in. Maybe some rain? I hope so.

Starting to lay out things for my Tahiti trip. Got my checklist ready.

I first heard Celtic Thunder on a PBS special about a decade ago. They play a wide variety of Irish and other Celtic music and song. The group has changed over the years, but many of the original guys are still there. They have added more singers, more females, and amazing stage setups. They had a new special on PBS fundraising Saturday night. I DVR'd it and watched it last night. Awesome. If it pops up on your PBS station, and you can deal with the fundraising, it is worth a watch. I suggest you DVR it, so you can skip all the fundraising. I have a couple of their classics on my iPod that I use when traveling.

When I lived on the Rez, except in TC, my electrical provider was NTUA (Navajo Tribal Utility Authority). They weren't in Tuba because APS (AZ Public Service) got in before NTUA was formed. NTUA is very good at getting electricity to rural areas. It was also much cheaper for customers...when I moved to Tuba and got APS, my bill more than tripled. Turns out NTUA had two huge commercial customers, Peabody Coal and Navajo Generating Station. Both have closed recently, and now NTUA has to raise their customer bills. This is going to be a huge hardship on most of their customers, rural and very rural Navajo families. Such a sad situation.
