Thoughts
Spring storm arrived and
dumped about 8” here in Flag. And it is a very wet snow. As those of us in any
desert…’it’s good for the forest.’
The storm is still here, still dumping, so we’ll see if our winter wonderland
will continue.
Not my best Saturday in a
while. I woke up about 4am with a huge tongue. I think I woke up about 3am and
thought I should take a pill, but didn’t. When I got up at 4, it was a full
blown swelling. I took the pill but didn’t sleep anymore. I finally got up
about 6:30. The swelling went down by 10a but couldn’t really taste anything
all day. What a pain. Gave me time to catch up on TV shows I had DVR’d. This
was not my plan for the day, but it all worked out.

Happened
NEW YORK - A former worker
at a famed New York restaurant filed a lawsuit alleging her co-workers would
make mock penises out of dumplings then serve them to patrons. Yvonne Diaz, who
worked as a bartender at the Chin Chin restaurant from 2007 until last October,
said she endured multiple forms of sexual harassment and assault at the
restaurant including being made to watch kitchen workers put dumplings bound
for customers' plates "in their crotch areas making it look like they had
big penises," the New York Post reported Thursday. Diaz also alleged in
the federal lawsuit she was repeatedly groped by at least two co-workers, one
of whom "pushed his erect penis into (her) buttocks area." The
lawsuit also alleges owner Jimmy Chin bragged about overcharging Sean
"Diddy" Combs for a bathroom mirror broken while filming a segment
for his "Making the Band" TV show and once said it was a "good
decision" to seat Mariah Carey in a "private section" when she
arrived at the eatery "high on drugs." Chin called the allegations
"frivolous" and "ridiculous nonsense."

The lifespan of the giant tortoise is about 150 years, making
it the longest-living animal on the planet. In captivity, some giant tortoises
have lived as long as 177 years.
Bats are the only mammals capable of true flight. A
bat's wing is constructed very much like the human hand, with extremely
elongated fingers and membranes stretched between.
There are almost 1,000
species of bats worldwide, ranging in size from less than an inch to almost six
feet. Many species of bats are considered endangered.

miles per hour, the peregrine falcon is not only the fastest flying bird in the world,
