My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

Ready for a new month. Tahiti just keeps getting closer.

I remember the breakup of the Beatles. 60 Minutes did a piece on Director Peter Jackson’s look at the history. Jackson reviewed hours and hours of footage of the lead up to the Rooftop Concert that ultimately was their last live performance. His movie certainly blew up many of the myths surrounding the breakup. Most interestingly to me was that it wasn’t Yoko who ended the Beatles and it wasn’t bickering either. I hope to see the entire movie now.

In local news: an empty Flagstaff Public School bus was stolen from the local Aquaplex. It was later found abandoned near Page, AZ…some 90 miles away. A possible thief has been arrested.

While picking up my CPAP supplies, I found that the local sleep clinic never sent an order for a new CPAP machine for me. According to the guy at the CPAP place, when the local hospital took over the private sleep clinic, all the doctors left. For the past few months, they keep getting unsigned orders from them that can’t be filled. They have called and faxed numerous times with no response. The only doctor they have lives out of state and never comes to Flagstaff. I came home and called. After listening to the menu, I left a message. Still awaiting a call back. Frustrated.

More importantly, they needed a unique number, and since 911 had never been designated for an office code, area code or service code, that was the number they chose.

My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

Cloudy Sunday. Maybe some moisture.

Hard to believe: Donald Trump, Jr. took his 12-year-old son to Texas. While there they went to Jr.’s friend’s gun shop where the younger one built his own AK-15. Then they went to the Trump Rally where Jr. bragged about it.

Sen. Krystin Sinema, (D-AZ), has various approval ratings: For AZ Dems her approval rating in 8%, while AZ Republicans give her a 42% approval. Hmmm.

Saturday it was all over the news and sports channels that Tom Brady had retired. Later in the day his website stated it was premature and to wait for Tom to make a statement. Hard to believe with so many outlets reporting it.

Russia is having some naval war games. A group of Irish fisherman vowed to disrupt the games as it would effect their fishing. Russia moved away from the area and will do the games about 200 miles away from the planned site. Hmmm.

My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

A nice winter day. Took a nice walk around the neighborhood.

As I was reading stats about Covid, happy that Coconino County, my home area, has the 3rd highest vaccination rate in AZ.

I’m sure glad I’m not on the East Coast. That’s a lot of wind and a whole lot of snow.

SpaceX rocket should hit dark side of the moon soon. Should be interesting. Traveling at 5000mph on impact.

Tom Brady is retiring. WOW!  After 22 NFL seasons.
