Free Rambling Thoughts                                                                              .
I had a really busy day. When I got up I was reminded that snow is just around the corner…thanks NPR. I’ve been putting off washing my windows—on the outside for a couple of weeks. So this morning I got busy on the upstairs windows. I have a sliding window and a stationary window in each bedroom. The sliding window lifts out. So after gathering up the necessary materials, I got to work. So nice to have clean windows. Then I moved downstairs, as the clouds had come in and the thunder and rain was starting. Instead of doing those windows, I moved the living room furniture for a better winter seating arrangement, so I can see the snow, the portable electric fireplace and the TV. I’m ready now. Bring it on.

When I picked up my cell phone, it was downloading a new major update. When it finished, I realized that most of the icons I am used to have changed their appearance. So about an hour of figuring out how to do stuff again. Just like the FB updates, there are no instructions on what changed, what is now new, and how to use any of the new stuff or find any of the old stuff. This must be very frustrating for users who don’t have that kind of time and for those who don’t want to spend time re-learning how to use a phone. The colors that show up when doing most things changed too. I think I got it figured out…mostly.

I got a call from Ellie about Ethiopia. It seems that Ethiopia Airlines has cancelled the plane on the day we were scheduled to come back. Therefore, as of today, we are flying back a day later than planned. After spending time in Africa before, it is not unusual for airlines to cancel domestic flights for no rhyme or reason. In Malaysia our flight was cancelled and we had to wait 5 hours for another flight. This caused the River Trip to have to wait for us.  Well, this time they cancelled an international flight. My problem is that I had a connection in Denver to Flagstaff on a non-refundable ticket. Since we will arrive back in Denver a day late, I will have to rebook the flight. Domestic Airlines don’t care that much. I can’t do anything till I get my e-tickets for Denver to Ethiopia to try and make the change. That should come sometime this week. I’m hoping that HLO Travel will be able to help me. Always has to be a few bumps in traveling.

More rain today. Now the meteorologist says we have a good chance for snow this week. The peaks will get about a foot…cool. He still won’t say how much we will get here in town. It is October, we are at 7000’, so snow is not unheard of at this time of year. We just usually have a few weeks of cool temps before the snow. Oh, well, at least snow doesn’t cause flooding.

A man was walking on the beach one day and he found a bottle half buried in the sand. He decided to open it. Inside was a genie.
The genie said,” I will grant you three wishes and three wishes only." The man thought about his first wish and decided, “I think I want 1 million dollars transferred to a Swiss bank account. POOF!
Next he wished for a Ferrari red in color. POOF! There was the car sitting in front of him.
