Albert Einstein was offered the position as president of Israel
When Israel’s first president Chaim Weizmann passed away in 1952, Albert Einstein was offered the role by Ambassador Abba Eban. The offer was upon the request of the Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion. Einstein would have had to relocate to Israel and accept Israel as his nationality but would be free to pursue his scientific endeavors. He replied that due to his inexperience working with people, he isn’t qualified to fulfill a role in a high office.

My Rambling Thoughts
Some dark clouds helping to keep temperature down, still warm. Hoping for moisture. Only a HIGH fire danger today. It's been EXTREME for well over a week.
I watched Trump's tough guy speech, I watched the tear gas hitting peaceful protesters a few hundred yards away, I watched him and his dutiful entourage walk to the historic Episcopal church, I watched him be handed a bible and hold it up saying it was his torch. I was stunned by his actions and his words. This is the first time he has ever walked to the church, and the last time he attended the church was near Christmas. Thankfully today, the religious community in our country is speaking out about the absurdity of his photo op. This is not the country I grew up in.
A local AZ judge has upheld the state's position that it will not release any numbers regarding COVID19 positive cases or deaths in long term care facilities in AZ. News organizations had sued for the information. Again, I'm shocked.
The head of AZ education has released a 41 page plan/guidelines for opening schools this fall. She is not asking for more money to implement these changes. She said it was up to each district elected boards to find the money needed intheir current budgets. Not the support the districts were hoping for.
