My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

Wind is blowing in the expected storm. I guess I’m ready.

Storm forecasts are about as reliable as the political polls. One forecast says our town will get 1-3”and another 4-8” . Guess I’ll just wait until it comes to find out.

Affirmative Action has been around about 50 years… that’s over 2-1/2 generations. Did it work and is it still working? The Supreme Court is trying to figure that out. Their decision will have major implications for our country.

There are still protest in Brazil after the election. The former President has not conceded and says he will follow the constitution. Time will tell. His chief of staff says the former president will honor the constitution and aid in the transfer of power.

It is unfortunate that the first amendment did not include the Freedom to critically listen. Our country needs many more critical listeners who can sort through the vitriol and listen for real facts.

"Black Mountain Side" by Led Zeppelin (1969)

Led Zeppelin is full of tremendous musicians. "Black Mountain Side" is a simple folksy instrumental track composed by the great Jimmy Page that is truly a hidden gem on the band's debut record.
