My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

A couple of inches of snow dropped on our little mountain town last night. Today it is blue sky and sunshine…with a little too much wind.

Catholics in Phoenix are scrambling. One priest has caused thousands to remain not baptized, due to one word he used in the baptisms. He said, ‘We baptize you…’ instead of the liturgy that states, ‘I baptize you…’. The Vatican has said all during his long career must be baptized with the proper wording to be saved. What a mess, I’m sure a loving God would have had a better solution. Somehow, it seems money for the church is behind this.

For those keeping a tally at the Olympics: One Ukrainian and one Iranian skier have been disqualified for using steroids. I didn’t see this when it happened…maybe because neither skier was anywhere near a skier with medal contention. Also, while the ROC skater in trouble was high up during the preliminary runs, she placed 4^th overall, so the medals were not an issue. It is still an issue for the skaters who finished behind her.

I went out to get groceries. I waited until the sun was out and melting most of the snow on the roads. It was very windy and chilly, roads were wet, I got what I needed and came home.

Ellie called and is busy sending Tahiti stuff to me. The blowout group also had to deal with a snowstorm, but a trip to Portugal sounds good for 2023.
