Random Tidbits

Eggs contain the highest quality food protein known. All parts of an egg are edible, including the shell which has a high calcium content.

A story came out recently which claims that the right amount of stress can actually increase our productivity.

Question: Why are horses no fun?

Because they are neigh-sayers

You're never going to believe this- but my doctor just told me I've got a protein deficiency. No whey!

My Rambling Thoughts

Nice summer day. Awaiting the first monsoon. Should arrive soon.

Talked to Mary this morning. She lives in a residential area that is near the forest, just like me. She belongs to a Neighborhood watch group that posts local goings on her phone. She walks her two small dogs daily on her street and one other short street. Yesterday, after returning from her walk she got a notice. It said that earlier in the morning, forest service employees had tranquilized a juvenile bear on the street she walks on. She had stopped going into the forest because of bear reports in the area. Now she isn’t sure where she will walk the dogs.

Andy and Faith are down in Phoenix for the holiday. I am watering their trees and flowers for them.

My CPAP supplies finally came in and I was told they were only doing curbside pickup. Fine. I drove over there; their front door was open. I just walked in, with my mask, and picked them up.  It took over a week to get the supplies, and the main shop in Cottonwood has no idea what is going on in Flagstaff. Crazy.

I listened to an interesting podcast last night. Part of it was a 30 something lady talking to her father. She used the word ‘slave’. Her dad corrected her and said ‘Please use enslaved people when talking about your ancestors’. If that term were used, instead of slaves, in literature, in conversation, in education, and everywhere else it would recognize their humanity and make it more difficult to dismiss.
