My Free Rambling Thoughts   

I really do not like Mondays. Had to go over and get my new eyeglasses adjusted. They fit fine for about 3 hours, then were not sitting well on my nose. Then I checked my mail…a letter from Colorado of Dept of Revenue telling me the ‘lien’ had been satisfied. After many phone calls, it turns out that my messed up CO taxes had been sent to the District Court long ago and now I have to pay a fee to get the lien removed from my account. It is only $13…I think…but when I send that in, I will get another letter that I will have to use to send to somebody else to get it off my record. This seems to becoming the Never Ending Horror Story. When I talked to one lady who admitted they had sent notices to the wrong address informed my it was still my error and that the statues cover the state of Colorado if they have an incorrect address. It seems it is the tax payer’s responsibility to notify the State of Colorado if the tax payer does not receive a letter.

 

On a much happier note, I bought some colorful flowers for my front area. It looks nice, and I still have some more to plant…just have to get another planter.  And my day lilies are just about to bloom. That too will add to the color in the front. Summer sure is fun.

Old Bubba was fishing along the Bayou for catfish one day when he spots a water moccasin slithering across the water with a toad in its mouth. Being a longtime fisherman, he knows the best bait for large catfish are toads. In a flash, Bubba grabs the snake from behind and carefully removes the toad from its mouth and puts the toad in his side bag. Fearing the angry snake would bite him; Bubba grabs his bottle of daddy's moonshine from his pocket and carefully pours 2 drops into the snake's mouth. The snake's eyes glaze over and quickly go limp. Bubba carefully places the snake back in the water.

A few hours later, Bubba is just about to head back home, when he feels something tapping on his leg. He looks down and is amazed to see the same water moccasin with 2 frogs in its mouth.

Yeah, It Really Happened

A woman, her father and her boyfriend lured her love rival to their trailer and held her down while they tried to cut off her fingers with pruning shears.

Shena Moore, 24, allegedly invited the victim to the home in Mason, Ohio after learning her boyfriend, John Gulley, 31, had been sending flirtatious text messages to the woman.

The victim, a 27-year-old artist and friend of Moore's, agreed to go to the home to discuss the problem, but when she arrived, Moore's father, 450-pound Gerald Moore Jr., 49, allegedly hit the victim with his cane while his daughter began punching her.

Moore, her father and her boyfriend then allegedly pinned the victim to the ground and tried to cut off her fingers with the shears. Authorities believe they wanted to ruin her career as an artist.

But the victim kicked Gerald Moore and was able to escape.

Gulley was later apprehended by officers and arrested along with the Moores. A Warren County grand jury indicted Gerald Moore Jr., Shena Moore and John Gulley on felony charges of kidnapping and felonious assault.

What seems odd is that it was the boyfriend who was sending the flirtatious text messages, but they tried to cut off the fingers of the women to whom they were sent.
