Oops…somehow my week of the year got off. Now it is correct in the above.
It was an afternoon of rain and more rain. Enough fell to have it running down the parking lot and forming Lake Santa at the speed bump. There was enough thunder and lightning to keep electronics off for about two hours. I hope the flood area people are OK.
Our local paper finally ‘explained’ why they are not running stories of the many arrests from protests regarding the peaks. Basically they said they are a small town paper and don’t have reporters and photographers to cover the demonstrations. They also hinted that the story is just a rehash of what has been said in the past, and therefore isn’t news. They must think we are really dumb and uninformed. They are famous for their ‘police log’ which is simply publishing all kinds of incidents right from the police reports. Surely there are police reports of all these arrests, and court records. Someone or some group is trying real hard to keep this very quiet. Even if anyone believes the demonstrations are not a change in tactics, the multiple daily arrests should be published. I’m calling the Asst Editor tomorrow to tell him I don’t accept the lame excuses they published. I’m sure others will be doing the same.

INDIANAPOLIS - An Indianapolis woman said she was "shocked at what I saw" when an image resembling Jesus Christ appeared on a shirt she tie-dyed. Carylin Landers, who said she has been tie-dying as a hobby for about three years, said after her discovery she accidentally dropped the part of the shirt with the Jesus image in a dark navy dye while coloring another part of the shirt and feared she'd covered the image, WRTV, Indianapolis, reported Monday.
"I rinsed it when it was done, only to see that the second color didn't touch the face. It only outlined it more," she said. Landers said many people have agreed with her that the image looks like Jesus. "I'm not even a religious person," Landers said. "I was shocked at what I saw."

Steve lived in Stated Island, NY and worked in Manhattan. He had to take the ferry home every night. One evening, he got sown to the ferry and found there was a wait for the next boat, so Steve decided to stop at a nearby tavern. Before long he was feeling no pain. When he got back to the ferry slip, the ferryboat was just eight feet from the dock.
Steve, afraid of missing this one and being late for dinner, took a running leap and landed right on the deck of the boat.
“How did you like that jump, buddy?” said a proud Steve to a deck hand.
“It was great,” said the sailor. “But why didn’t you wait? We were just pulling in!”
