§ Free Rambling Thoughts…
Most of my Sunday morning news shows were taken over by Irene. After all the evacuations and dire warnings for the politicos and the weather service, it turns out they were giving the ‘worst case scenario’ to everyone. They neglected for days to tell us that part. There was a lot of property damage and a minimal loss of life—in the loss of any person can be considered minimal. It was nice to hear all the politicos talking about how all the emergency teams were working together—the city, the county, the state and the Feds. It was also nice that the Tea Party candidates were just silent. The rivers will continue to rise for several days which means more and more flooding, more and more without electricity. My brother and sister-in-law have not called, so I assume they have made it a long weekend. They were getting lots of rain where they are, and hopefully are not getting floods.

Again we looked like rain but only had thunder, lightning, and enough rain to barely wet the sidewalk and road. Everything was dry again a few minutes after it stopped.

§ Yeah, It Really Happened…
AMHERST, Ohio - Authorities in Ohio said they are searching for a man accused of stealing a semi truck and crashing it into an adult store to steal an $800 sex toy.
Detective Tony Kovacs of the Lorain County Sheriff's Department said the thief took the truck Sunday night from JT Container Recycling in Elyria and drove it about a half hour's distance to the AdultMart in Amherst, WJW-TV, Cleveland, reported Thursday.
The burglar "used it to back into the AdultMart, smashing the glass door of the store and ran inside to steal a sex toy basically," Kovacs said.
The detective said the $800 sex toy is "basically the lower half of a female body." He said the thief then drove the truck back to JT Container Recycling, where he fled on foot after being spotted by a deputy. John Tirbaso, owner of JT Container Recycling, said the thief did several thousands of dollars worth of damage to the truck and the fence around his business.
