Free Rambling Thoughts…
Luckily, the Red Flag Warning didn’t hit us until 3pm today, so the earlier part of the day wasn’t bad.
It seems like every time I turn on the Internets, someone is telling us about another fire near Flagstaff. Every day there are one or two new fires around here. All seem to be ‘stupid human caused’. Thankfully the Forest Service and the local fire fighters are on top of each one quickly. I think it’s time for our legislature to require anyone going into the forest must take a test about fire safety and a reading test, that proves the individual know what ‘No Campfires’ means. Then they have all their matches and lighters removed from their gear. I doubt these idiots know how to start a fire with a couple of sticks. I’m all for an open forest and have spent many a night camping in this beautiful forest, but never, never had a campfire in a restricted area. I still always had a great time. If the people starting these fires are homeless and using the fire for warmth, then our city must step up with more shelters. If these people don’t want to stay at a shelter, then they can’t stay in the forest either.
Our discussion group was to meet this weekend, but can’t because the hosts are busy preparing their home for the monsoons. They live in the path of the expected floods that are only happening because some idiot tried to burn down the entire forest. That person has not come forward nor have they been caught. Only the residents, the trees, and the wildlife are still suffering. The Feds just gave the state a bunch of money to help the victims. It goes through the Governor’s office and she is acting like she did it. It is Big Government MONEY. I’m happy for the many who will benefit from this money. Our state government is so random. They passed a bill that AZ can opt out of the Health Care System of Obama, another that we can set up our own border remedies. But, they will take Federal money. Makes very little sense to me.

LONDON - A London man said he has spent more than $3,000 on therapy to "break the spell" of his 13-sausage-per-day habit. David Harding, 47, said the therapy has thus far brought him no closer to "freeing" himself from his sausage addiction, the Daily Mirror reported Monday. "I genuinely cannot bear the thought of living without sausages," Harding said. "Drug addicts crave their fix, and it's the same for me -- except my drug is a banger." Harding said he spends about $1,150 annually on sausages and eats as many as 13 each day. "Apparently I just like sausages -- plain and simple. I don't see that there is anything wrong with that, but I do think that I have to look at ways to control
my urges," Harding said.
