Trivia

The most rare hair color in humans is red. Approximately 1-2 percent of humans in the world have red hair.

Lilith, the supposed first wife of Adam, is said to have had red hair. She was ultimately kicked out of the Garden of Eden because she refused to be subordinate to Adam.

Because redheads have thicker hair than people with other hair colors, they have fewer strands of hair. For example, while blondes have on average 140,000 hairs, redheads have approximately 90,000.

My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

Windy fall day…time for a laundry day. Two loads of clothes…will fold and put away later.

The Beijing Olympics are in the news. Will the US attend? Will the President or a delegate or no US dignitary attend? I followed the 1980 Olympics when the US refused to attend, and I attended the 1984 Olympics in LA when the USSR didn’t attend. I am appalled by the Chinese government human rights violations. I also know there are hundreds of young American athletes who have been training for years to attend the games in Beijing. I hope that the American athletes can compete on the field with athletes from all the Olympic countries. The US dignitaries would be missed, but it would allow the games to continue. If the best athletes, from any boycotting countries are kept out of the games, it will hurt the Olympic dream, but I seriously doubt that China will suddenly follow the UN Human Rights guidelines. Now I’m climbing down from my soapbox.
