MY FREE RAMBLING THOUGHTS
A nice day here in Flag. Spring seems to have returned, at least for the rest of the week. I’m ready. We had a lot of clouds, but not enough to bring any moisture.
So the President explained why he did what he did. I just don’t get our Congress. Republicans seem a little confused. While the Executive Branch was pondering what to do, the leading committees Republicans were pushing for a no fly zone. Then when the President agreed with NATO to have a no fly zone. Now the Republican leaders are asking why we need a no fly zone. I am so sick of politics. Now it sounds like NATO will be in charge. Isn’t that mostly us?

SALT LAKE CITY - Salt Lake City police said a teenager made up a story about a shooting to avoid getting in trouble with his parents for ripping his new pants. Police Sgt. Mikal Wersland said the 14-year-old boy reported being grazed by a bullet just prior to 6 p.m. However, Wersland said numerous witnesses said they did not hear any gunfire in the area and the boy eventually admitted concocting the story. "A 14-year-old kid tore his new pants. He fell down and tore the knee," Wersland said. "He didn't want to get in trouble. He was claiming he was grazed, but it's a scrape where he fell down." Wersland did not say whether any charges were being sought against the boy.

Dad is from the old school, where you keep your money under the mattress only he kept his in the underwear drawer. One day I bought my dad an unusual personal safe—-a can of spray paint with a false bottom—so he could keep his money in the workshop. Later I asked Mom if he was using it.
"Oh, yes," she replied, "he put his money in it the same day."
"No burglar would think to look on the work shelf!" I gloated.
"They won't have to," my mom replied. "He keeps the paint can in his underwear drawer."
