My Rambling Thoughts

Really nice fall day. Our retirement group had a nice lunch at one of our favorite places…good conversation, good food, good times.

A lady I worked with in Tuba had never left the state of FL until she took the job in Tuba. She stayed about 8 years, took her retirement and moved to NC to be with her daughter. Last month she emailed me to say she had seen enough snow and was moving back to FL. Today I got an email that she sold her place, bought a condo in FL, hired a local mover and was on her way. She got to FL before the movers so she was just waiting. On Saturday they called to tell her that the moving van had been stolen in Jacksonville at the Hampden Inn, where the driver was staying. It was hot-wired, driven a few miles, turned off the GPS tracking device and vanished with all her worldly possessions. I thought it might be a scammer, but there was no request for money or assistance. I emailed her, and I’ll see what’s going on.

For the record: I don’t like any government official asking another country to investigate an American, especially when the individual is a candidate for President.
