MY FREE RAMBLING THOUGHTS
So I go to my allergy Doc to find out about my angioedema. He says it is idiosyncratic. Does that mean I am an idiot? No, if anything, it means I am since I can’t figure out why you keep doing this. The good news, I will quit taking one of my pills. When I have my next ‘episode’, as he calls it, I will take a Zyrtec and the prednisone. If it isn’t better within about 20 minutes, I take another Zyrtec. At least Zyrtec is over the counter and he gave me about 20 free samples.
Then I attempted to get some answers from BCBS over my other scripts. The first call with BCBS was ended when I didn’t know the tier of the drugs I was talking about. Back to BCBS Pharmacy line. Got that information. So it was back to the main number. Each call has a long and complicated menu. Finally get to the human and after I tell her what I wanted she needed to know the pharmacy. I asked why and she said it is required. I gave her the pharmacy and then she gives me the disclaimer that the prices she is going to give me may not be the price I pay, as her figures are based on national averages. Blah, Blah, Blah. The price for one med was $0.56 less than I paid. And then the kicker. The Pharmacy has already agreed on the maximum price they can use to be in network. The price I got from the pharmacy the night before was a ‘with no insurance’, but each and every insurance company makes a deal with the Pharmacy as to maximum amount they can charge THE INSURANCE COMPANY. So if my drug was $200 with no insurance and the pharmacy agrees to charge $150 max and I pay 20% or 30%, depending on the tier, I should pay $30 or $45. I asked what happens if the pharmacy inputs $200. She said the cost would be rejected. I sure hope so. I don’t trust very many big businesses these days. The second kicker came with my EOB. The in network doctor can charge more than the agreed upon amount for a procedure. In certain cases, I am then responsible for a percentage of the amount over the agreed upon charge—depending on my deductible. Fix the system.

*Homemade Glass and Window Cleaner
12 to 16 ounces water
1/2 cup white or apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
1-2 drops lavender, cinnamon, clove or orange essential oil if desired.
Combine ingredients in a labeled spray bottle.
* Use newspapers rather than paper towels. They don't leave lint and streak less.
Spray the newspaper first, then wipe down the window/mirror to avoid drips
*Wipe vertically one side of the window and horizontally onthe other side so you will know which side has the streaks.

UNUSUAL NEWS ITEM:
Fairplane, WV- Responding to a domestic dispute call at the Motor Inn, sheriff’s deputies encounter Melissa Williams naked from the waist down and holding a knife. Two men in the room (one her estranged husband) said Williams had threatened them. “Somebody is going to eat my (vulgar reference) or I’m going to cut your (expletive) throat” shouted Williams. The sheriff’s report also noted that one of the men approached Williams to comply but was repelled by Williams’ “horrible vaginal order.” Williams was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
A LITTLE LAUGH:
As a new paratrooper, I was struck by all the T-shirts on base emblazoned with the motto "Death from above!" Later I noticed a submariner with a T-shirt that declared "Death from below!"
Then, standing in line for chow one day, I was served by an Army cook. His T-shirt had a skull with a crossed fork and spoon underneath and yet another warning: "Death from within!"
