Rambling Thoughts
Fall is quickly arriving in our little mountain town. Lots of wind
today, cooler temps both day and night. I’m not really ready for fall, but
guess I will just have to get used to it.
So I’m confused…we have not gotten involved in Syria’s civil war.
ISIS is there, with others, fighting against the regime. We don’t like ISIS and
we don’t like the regime. We have been watching the thousands of men, women and
children who are fleeing Syria and heading for Europe. So today Mr. Putin sends
lots of war stuff to Syria to help the regime and stop ISIS. And now the war
people in the USofA are freaking out saying we can’t let Russia get away with
this. What am I missing?

Saturday and Sunday, it rained on the Coconino County Fair. People
came anyway, petted the animals, and the Kiwanis Burger Stand did a grand
office business in coffee. Fair Days were extended onto 10 p.m. Monday to make
up for the horrific storm. Overall attendance was down about 15 percent,
although 30,000 people jammed the gates after the rain ceased.
A 14-foot wall water swept over the Havasupai village, washing
away and completely destroying many of the homes as well as their water line.
368 more students are attending school with 78 buses transporting
our 5,300 students.

about energy transition. Lubmin was the biggest nuclear power plant during the
cold war and it was locked down in 1991 for security reason right after the
German reunification. For more than 30 years, around 1.000 workers are still
working on the site for dismantling operations of the plant. Germany wants
to shut down all their nuclear power plants by 2020 and to substitute with
wind and solar energy.

1. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.
2. Find out where your boss shops and buy exactly the same outfits. Always wear
them one day after your boss does. This is especially effective if your boss is
the opposite gender.
3. Put mosquito netting around your cubicle.
4. Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want fries with
that.
5. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "IN."
6. When driving colleagues around, insist on keeping your car's windshield
wipers running during all weather conditions to keep 'em tuned up.
7. Reply to everything someone says with, "That's what you think."
8. Highlight irrelevant information in scientific papers, then cc them to your
boss.
9. Finish all your sentences with "in accordance with the prophecy."
10. At lunchtime, sit in your parked car and point a hair dryer at passing cars
to see if they slow down.

Former VA state Delegate Joseph Morrissey, already scheduled for
trial for submitting false documents in one case, was foiled in qualifying for
a state Senate primary because 750 of the 972 voter signatures he submitted
were found to be bogus. Morrissey was sworn in as a delegate while wearing an
ankle monitor as part of his sentence for having sex with an underage girl, but
resigned to run for the Senate.
