How many can you identify?…answers in Today’s Birthdays

My Free Rambling Thoughts
A new week starts off with more questions than answers.  I got a call from my former financial advisor. We met at 10am at her house. Her story is that her assistant had bought the office last year, but couldn’t be the manager so she stayed on as an employee. She had met with a banker in South Carolina in March and it was suggested she refinance her Flagstaff house for a lower rate. She decided to apply but was rejected. After several days of trying to figure out why, the bank discovered she had three credit card accounts she hadn’t listed on her form. The minimum was being paid every month, but the total owed was close to $50,000. Turns out for the past few years the assistant had opened these cards in her boss’ name and was just paying the minimum out of the business account. Further digging found that over $100K in local company money had never been deposited correctly. So the charges are embezzlement and identity theft. My former advisor was ‘retired’ because she was not running her office correctly. Lawyer’s fees are high, the sale of the business has been stopped, since the assistant stopped paying the monthly amount agreed upon. Only time will tell how this all works out for my former advisor, but again, my investments are not in danger.

The Supreme Court ruled on a crazy Arizona law that required proof of citizenship to register to vote. The law made it much harder for citizens to register to vote in AZ. Glad to see it gone. Of course many are not…those crazy people who still can’t believe that Real Americans would have ever elected a Black President. There was no proof that AZ had ever had a problem with voter fraud. The crazy ones just seem to believe that with all the brown people in our state, it will happen very soon.

Unusual Fact of the Day
Hallmark sells a line of "encouragement" cards you can send to people who've lost their job.
Joke-of-the-day
A fellow bought a new Mercedes and was out on the interstate for a nice evening drive. The top was down, the breeze was blowing through what was left of his hair and he decided to open her up. As the needle jumped up to 80 mph, he suddenly saw flashing red and blue lights behind him.
"There's no way they can catch a Mercedes," he thought to himself and opened her up further. The needle hit 90, 100.... Then the reality of the situation hit him.
"What am I doing?" he thought and pulled over. The cop came up to him, took his license without a word and examined it and the car.
"It's been a long day, this is the end of my shift and it's Friday the 13th. I don't feel like more paperwork, so if you can give me an excuse for your driving that I haven't heard before, you can go."
The guy thinks for a second and says, "Last week my wife ran off with a cop. I was afraid you were trying to give her back!"
"Have a nice weekend," said the officer.

 TAKING FILM PHOTOGRAPHS AT NIGHT
To compensate for reciprocity failure in night-time photography, open the aperture one additional f-stop if exposure time is more than 1 second, 2 f-stops if the exposure is over 10 seconds, and 3 f-stops if the exposure is more than 100 seconds.
Yeah, It Really Happened
Whatever problem this guy had it doesn't seem like this procedure would be worth it, but for whatever reason this Delaware man had a penile surgery performed which involved a three-piece inflatable implant, consisting of inflatable cylinders inside the shaft of the penis, a fluid reservoir under the abdominal wall and a pump inside the scrotum.
Sounds comfy, doesn't it?
Unfortunately, something was wrong after he had the surgery. He said his scrotum swelled to the size of a volleyball, and he suffered an erection that lasted about eight months.
The patient and his wife are seeking unspecified damages from the urologist and his medical group.
He said retrieving the morning newspaper became a problem. Riding his motorcycle was, too. "I could hardly dance, with an erection poking my partner," he told jurors when he took the witness stand. The procedure caused him to retreat from much of life, and he took to wearing baggy sweat pants and a long shirt to hide his condition.
He has since gotten a replacement prosthesis from another doctor. While this device works, he said, the scar tissue from the first surgery left his member about 50 percent smaller, and he does not experience the same level of sensation.

Had an unwanted angioedema episode today…started out differently, but took my pills when I realized what it was and ended up not being too bad. Just a discomfort I don’t enjoy.

We did have a very informative discussion on the Euro. It is a very complicated issue with such a simple concept…a United States of Europe….same currency…easier trade with countries…trading friends don’t start wars with each other. The idea started after WWII and the part about not going to war has worked very well. The rest still needs a lot of time.

The financial advisor drama took a turn. Last night my advisor and one of her friends were talking privately. Today the friend called me for an update. Seems the lady that was ‘buying’ the business has been skimming about $1200/month for about a year from the profits the company receives. According to the story, that lady has ‘disappeared’ with lawyers and PD on her trail. I have a call in for my former financial advisor to call me. I called her cell and hope that she will return my call. Whatever happens, my investments are safe.

After every flight, pilots fill out a form called a gripe sheet, which conveys to the mechanics problems encountered with the aircraft during the flight that need repair or correction. The mechanics read and correct the problem, and then respond in writing on the lower half of the form what remedial action was taken, and the pilot reviews the gripe sheets before the next flight.

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. - Authorities in New York state said a man was holding his 8-month-old daughter when he was arrested for allegedly selling heroin. Suffolk County police said officers conducting surveillance saw Tyreek Langs, 23, carrying the baby in his arms Thursday in Central Islip when he approached another person and allegedly sold heroin, WCBS-AM, New York, reported Friday. "The child was content, the child is being held by the father and he's approaching the buyer to complete the narcotics transaction with the child in his arms," Suffolk County police Lt. James Rooney said. "To him, it looked like the usual course of business, the way the officers observed him." Langs had a quantity of heroin on him when he was arrested, police said. The baby was released into the custody of her great-grandmother. Child protective services were notified of the incident, police said.

The rest of the words all involve something that spins clockwise. CD's/DVD's spin clockwise in machine.
Clock/Watch have hands moving clockwise.Venus rotates clockwise on its axis
Earth is not unique. All of the planets in our solar system, except for Venus, rotate anti-clockwise on their axes.
