My Rambling Thoughts

OK, 34° ain’t that cold…but with the wind, our wind chill is 21°. Last night was the first night this season that I pulled the downstairs drapes and the upstairs curtains to keep the heat in as much as possible. Glad I did, because it got down to 13°. Took the trash out this morning about 10a and decided I didn’t need to go anywhere this day. Weatherman says this won’t last too long.

My office TV ‘zoomed in’ a couple of weeks ago. The only real problem was that the CNN banners were much too big and all the pop up logos in the bottom right corner were only partially visible. Played with the TV settings several times and couldn’t fix it. Today I called the Vizio people and he said I had done everything possible and that problem was the cable company feed. Called the cable company and got their automated service. First, they sent a weak signal to fix it. Nada. Then they sent a strong signal and when the TV came back on…about 3 minutes, the picture was back to normal. Took another 30 minutes to get the guide back but it is fixed and I never had to talk to a human. I’m really confused because I have another TV downstairs and that picture has always been just fine. Technology continues to impress and baffle me at the same time.

Disappointed that Franken did such crazy stuff. Glad he resigned. Disappointed he didn’t apologize. So tired of these ‘leaders’ who think they can do whatever they want. It is time to drain the swamp of these crazy people. I realize that ain’t the ‘swamp’ 45 talks about.

Chilly weather has arrived…especially in the morning. While we haven’t had any snow yet, sadly, this is far from the record. The record for the latest first snow is Dec. 31, 1950 with 4.4”. I wasn’t in Flag back then, but it sure is dry here right now.

I met one of my new neighbors in the unit next to me. Turns out there are 3 graduate student females sharing the place. She promised they will be quiet.

It is so difficult for me to understand what 45 is doing when he moves the American Embassy to Jerusalem. That area is Holy to Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Why stir the pot? So far, no other countries in the world are praising this move. Time will tell.

California man who suspected his neighbor's dog of pooping in his driveway checked his home security camera and discovered the real culprit: an Amazon driver. Nemy Bautista of Sacramento said he found a large piece of fecal matter at the end of his driveway when he arrived home, so he checked his home security camera to see if it came from a neighbor's dog. Bautista said he was shocked when he reviewed the video and discovered a delivery service driver contracted by Amazon had squatted behind the door of their U-Haul van and dropped the deuce. Bautista said a delivery service supervisor visited his home to apologize. "He was in shock when we saw the size of 'it'" Bautista said. "He ended up scooping it up with a plastic bag, but didn't want to take it with him." An Amazon representative said the company contacted Bautista and the driver has been removed from their position as a delivery driver. Bautista was given an Amazon gift card for his troubles.

My Rambling Thoughts

Yesterday I started doing loads of laundry. Then I got a message that my best boss’ wife had passed. It is sad, but she had been in poor health for several years, and really declined after her husband passed. Then Cheryl called and she was in town and so we did a late lunch. Have to say: SmashBurger has the best hamburgers and great haystack onion rings. She had a great time in CA with her son and his family. She’ll be heading back for Christmas. And, thanks to text messaging we were able to set up our Christmas lunch/gift exchange with Mary who is in Oregon. Got home, finished laundry and relaxed. Busy day.

Today I finished the laundry, caught up on mail, and put everything where it belongs.

Very disappointed with 45’s cutting Bear’s Ears and Escalante National Monuments to a fraction of their original size. Our government is losing its understanding of a heritage for the next generations.

Bizarre News

Train passengers were shocked to see two men having sex late at night, according to police in Australia. 

Melbourne police said that officers were called to the Flinders Street Station after the two men, 22, and 25, stripped naked and had sex. 

The two men, who were not identified, were charged with willful and obscene exposure. They were also charged with theft for allegedly stealing potted plants from Melbourne Town Hall. 

Witnesses at the scene told police that the two men stripped naked and danced around two potted plants, which they allegedly stole earlier in the day. The two men then performed sex acts on each other. 

Some people laughed at the two lovers but one elderly woman yelled at them to stop their public display of love. 

A video of the incident was uploaded to the Internet, where it went viral. Police arrived at the scene and forced the men to get dressed.
