My Rambling Thoughts

Stayed busy yesterday helping out a friend. Running around town looking for an auto part. Success.

A little cleaning today. Not too much, cause it’s the weekend.

Still trying to comprehend 45’s comment about other countries. This man does not represent my views. I have made 6 trips to Africa, mostly to 3^rd world countries. While there was a lot of poverty, the people in every country were kind, friendly, and willing to share their culture with our group. Only someone who visits with a closed mind would not be able to see their beauty. I doubt that 45 has truly traveled outside the US. Traveling is so much more than visiting a place…it’s eating their food, seeing their sites, and listening to their stories. What a sad excuse for a leader.

My Rambling Thoughts

This is what happened yesterday:

Our first snow, about 1”, is one for the record books…2^nd latest first snowfall. It started with rain, turned to snow, and then blew out. Nice to wake to some snow, but nowhere near enough for our dry forest. And no more moisture is in the 10-day forecast.

Our retirement group got together as Cheryl had some routine maintenance on her vehicle. Great lunch and good conversation that lasted till nearly 2pm. I held off on my weekly shopping until today.

On to today:

While there was no rain or snow last night, it did get chilly. Headed out early to do some shopping and car windows were still covered with ice. I guess I wasn’t the only one who skipped shopping yesterday as the grocery store parking lot was full…at 9am.

My Rambling Thoughts

The expected rain/snow hasn’t arrived. Now they say tonight. Still not holding my breath.

Expecting snow, I planned on doing linen laundry...blankets etc. So that is what I am doing. Third load is in the dryer. Bedding changed and clean blankets.

45 now says that ‘the wall’ won’t be a solid wall, what with mountains, rapidly running rivers, and other environmental stuff doing the job. Well, duh. Anyone with an education beyond 6^th grade has known that since before the election. But he still want’s lots and lots of tax payer dollars, but promises it will come in under budget. Yeah! Wonder who he will give the extra money to?

ONLY IN AZ: Maricopa ex-sheriff is 85 and just announced he is running for the US Senate. Thanks for the pardon #45. Not!

I watched most of the championship game last night. Oops, should have stayed up a tad longer. Never expected that.
