My Rambling Thoughts

Cheryl came into town yesterday, so we had a Bon Voyage lunch for Mary as she left for Italy this morning. Hope she has a great adventure with her daughter. One night they are staying in a 3,000-year-old cave/hotel . Should be interesting to say the least.

Sure glad I don’t live in the path of any hurricanes. All the news channels are doing complete coverage. I get that no one wants to leave their home or business during any disaster, but those who don’t evacuate in a mandatory evacuation should all be told that no first responders will be coming to ‘save’ them.

One of the things I never thought I would see was a President of the US that has zero empathy. He is so concerned about himself that he doesn’t care about anyone else. To say FEMA did a great job in Puerto Rico is disgusting. Almost 3,000 Americans died after the hurricane because of lack of electricity, food, and medical needs. Shameful.

My Rambling Thoughts

Busy making some more beef jerky. Started yesterday with marinating, now have it all in the dehydrator. I scarfed down the batch I made about 2 weeks ago and needed more.

Remember the good ol’ days when much of the merchandise at Wal-Mart was Made in the USA. Then almost overnight the majority of the merchandise was Made in China. Now I am reading several articles that Wally World will soon have to raise its prices by quite a bit. Tariffs. I’m waiting for China to put tariffs on 45’s and Ivanka’s stuff. And for 45 to stop the US tariffs as no one wins in a trade war.

Happy with the Bronco win, a nail biter, but as my mom said, a win is a win. Was a good weekend for Colorado.

Keeping an eye on Syrian news. From what I read, it is very bad. Haven’t figured out how anyone can use chemical attacks on any human or animal. Or bomb with no concern for innocent civilians. Sick people in this world.
