My Rambling Thoughts
Headed out early for a quick blood test. Could not believe the traffic. Thank goodness, I don’t have to usually drive anywhere during our new rush hour. I used to laugh, just after moving here, that our rush hour was from 7:30-7:40 on weekday mornings. That is so no longer true.
After 45 babbled yesterday, I had the thought that maybe it would be the military that would end his reign as he continues to dishonor another Gold Star Family. Then today, AZ Sen. Flake unexpectedly announced that he is not running for office in the 2018 election. Flake is a well-known conservative Republican who was targeted by 45/Bannon as one to get rid of. Now maybe the House will open their eyes and stop this craziness. The crazy part of this announcement is that 45/Bannon is supporting Kelli Ward, who loves Trump, at least right now, and is far more conservative than Flake who is very conservative.
As the craziness continues, the EPA and Dept. of Education are very busy getting rid of regulations. This week EPA scientists were not allowed to speak at a conference on Climate Change, even though the project was funded totally by the EPA. Then the Sec. of Ed. Erased a slew of regulations regarding Special Education students. And DOI is working hard to dismantle many National Monuments. Stop the madness.

Bizarre News
A man offering free hugs in New York City brutally attacked a young woman for refusing to accept a hug, according to New York Police Department.
25-year-old Jermaine Himmelstein hangs out in Union Square, where he offers passersby free hugs. Last week, a young woman and her mother were walking in Union Square, where Himmelstein approached them and offered the young woman a hug.
When she refused, he walked away.
Moments later, Himmelstein approached the woman from behind and punched her in the face, knocking off her glasses. Himmelstein then fled the scene. Himmelstein was later arrested and charged with one count of assault.
This was not the first time that Himmelstein attacked a woman for refusing to accept a hug.
Last year, Himmelstein punched a 21-year-old woman in Canada, who was visiting Manhattan, for refusing to accept a free hug. The woman who was identified as Sophie Violene Dauvois, suffered a black eye, cuts, and bruises.
There seems to be a pattern here.
Himmelstein was arrested in that case for assault, but prosecutors dropped the charge because he was mentally unfit to stand trial.
