My Rambling Thoughts
Still no rain…but clouds remain somewhat promising.
While I don’t think Trump has a snowballs chance in hell of getting the Republican nomination, I have to smile as he follows his own rules in his run. It is so interesting to listen to a narcissist who seems to believe the world revolves around his existence. I guess that why he talks about being a great businessman but never talks about his bankruptcies, and the pain it causes his investors and employees…it is kinda like the gambler who tells the world how he had a $500 win, but doesn’t mention that he put $600 in the machine to get that $500.
Listened to the Sec of Energy talking about the Iran talks on the Sunday morning news shows. Sure made sense to me. I hope the Congress reads the paperwork to make their decision.
I’ve been on Instagram for over a year. I don’t post a lot, but I sure enjoy many of the great photos of others. Adding my daily choice to this blog starting today.

Brain Teasers
(answers at the end of post)
Justin Case and Auntie Bellum are fellow con artists who deliver coded messages to each other to communicate. Recently Auntie Bellum was put in jail for stealing a rare and expensive diamond. Only a few days after this, Justin Case sent her a friendly letter asking her how she was. On the inside of the envelope of the letter, he hid a code. Yesterday, Auntie Bellum escaped and left the envelope and the letter inside the jail cell. The police did some research and found the code on the inside of the envelope, but they haven't been able to crack it. Could you help the police find out what the message is?

This is the code:

…Flagstaff, AZ History…
100 YEARS AGO-1915
Mayor Francis said the big rock crusher plant is now doing business and it announces the morning, noon and night hours with a husky whistle. This plant should grow and be a solid new industry for our town.

A work train was sent out of Flagstaff to the west this week to cut down the embankment along “The Cuts” to prevent more problems with slides of rocks onto the tracks during wet weather.

… Life Lessons…
2. Knowledge is power.
"A priest offered a Nun a lift. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.
The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'
The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again . The nun once again said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?' The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.'
Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way.
On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, 'Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.'
Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

…USA Facts…
In 1963, the US Military created an artificial ring around Earth, similar to that of the planet Saturn. The ring was made of copper needles and was used for worldwide communications in the case that the Soviets disabled all other methods of communication.

Daniel Webster, who ran for president and lost three times, declined the Vice Presidency twice, thinking it a worthless office. Both presidents who offered it later died in office, meaning that if he had accepted, he would’ve become president after all.

Yep, It Really Happened
LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio (UPI) - An Ohio woman whose house was damaged by a fire said she believes her "cousin" set the fire intentionally because "he can't get with" her. The Warren Township Fire Department said the Leavittsburg fire is believed to have started about 3:45 a.m. Thursday in Heather and Dennis Tenney's garage before spreading to their home and a neighboring home. Trumbull County Fire Investigation Unit Chief Matt Balut said the fire is being treated as suspicious. Heather Tenney said she believes she knows who was behind the blaze. "It was cause of my cousin and I don't want to mention no names," Heather Tenney told WKBN-TV. "He is mad because he can't get with me. I am married to my husband." Dennis Tenney told TribToday.com a conflict with a wife's relative had escalated via text messages Wednesday evening. He did not say whether the relative was his wife's cousin, but the relative had asked to come over and Tenney said he told the relative, "No." Dennis Tenney said he and his wife had seen an unidentified man walking back and forth in front of their house around midnight. Investigators said they are seeking a person of interest in the fire.

Somewhat Useless Information
8 interesting facts about Pluto!
  • Its size is 2,370 kilometers (1,473 miles) in diameter, give or take 20 kilometers. This makes it the largest dwarf planet, and the undisputed King of the Kuiper Belt.
  • It’s challenging to describe the terrain of Pluto because it’s a complex, diverse world with distinct regions. It has a polar cap of methane and nitrogen ice, with more methane unevenly distributed across its surface. The darkest regions have yet to be explored in detail, but are already bearing the names of dark gods.
  • In all the close-up images released so far of the Tombaugh Regio, we haven’t seen a single crater.
  • Current theories are that Pluto has an unexpected heat source, stored heat, or is more efficient at using heat.
  • In terms of specific terrain, there was found a mountain range, Norgay Montes, equal to the Rockies here on Earth, and vast weirdly textured plains, the Sputnik Planum. The rugged mountains are made of hard ice, possibly water ice which approximates the strength at rock at Pluto’s frigid temperatures.
  • Pluto has an ionized tail like a comet, produced by nitrogen from its atmosphere leaking into the solar wind. The rate of escape is staggering: it’s possible 450,000 kilograms (500 tons) of gas are escaping the little world into space every hour.
  • Pluto’s craters could be named after Star Trek characters. Craters on the surface of Pluto are likely signs of deep impact from smaller space rocks colliding with the planet. Researchers may name some of these craters after characters from Star Trek.
  • Dark spots have been noticed on Pluto’s surface. What’s strange about these irregularities is their similar size and spacing.

The message was "loose bricks in left wall." The message was put backward with words related to time in between.

This is how the message looks when separated:
ll watch awtfe clock lnisk sundial cirbe timer sool

If you take out watch, clock, sundial, and timer, this is what is left:
llawtfelniskcirbesool

Look at this backwards and this is what you have:
loose bricks in left wall

Auntie Bellum took out the bricks and escaped in the night. Then, she put the bricks back where they were.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
