My Rambling Thoughts
I watched a great documentary on ‘The Troubles’ last night. Things are still tense but no gunfire. Hard to get Protestants and Catholics to live together in N. Ireland. More time is needed. Sad.

Picked up my taxes this morning. Good news…my bill was half of last year. And I am getting a nice chunk of change too. All good. And next year even looks better with the new standard deduction and probably no need to itemize. Waiting to see before celebrating.

I have always had a hard time realizing that there are evil people in this world. When I meet up or worked with an evil person I did my best to simply avoid them. When I supervised an evil person, I did what I could to get them out of my system. I am heartsick with the pictures coming out of Syria. One of our discussion group spent 2 years there on a scholarship to study Syrian music. She has told great stories of the wonderful people there. I sure hope that this reign of terror with poison gas ends very soon. Hopefully their President will be arrested, put on trial, and pay for his horrific actions.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
