My Rambling Thoughts
Petty little man, 45, does not keep the flag at half-mast for John McCain. Amazing that 45 has been a non-invited person to so many events: Barbara Bush’s funeral, British wedding, and now John McCain’s funeral. And so far today, he ignored 4 questions from reporters on McCain. Suddenly, the flag is at half-mast over the White House again. Craziness reigns. As I drove to my hand Dr. appointment, every flag I saw on businesses and schools were at half-mast.

Met with the PA at my hand doc and she said I needed to have the large plate removed. Everything is healing just fine, but the plate is affecting the tendon to my thumb. Hmmm. It won’t happen until mid-Sept as I must wait at least 4 months after the surgery to do it. Not happy, but understand now, so I’m OK with it. Still must go to the hospital for the 15-minute procedure because of my age and my blood issues. As I was leaving the Dr. stopped me in the hall, checked the tendon and said ‘yep, that plate needs to come out.’ As I was waiting to see the surgery scheduler, I made a comment to the PA about how hard it was to call their office. One must go thru a couple of people before reaching voice mail. She said she had talked to ‘them’ but they just don’t do anything. Then the Dr. turned the corner and asked me if I had a few minutes. I said yes, and he went and go the head tech guy for phones. He listened to my complaint and said he would work on it. I told him I was very happy with the staff I dealt with, just hated the phone system. I’ll see if that helps.

Still disappointed that the Pope didn’t do anything but apologize for the abuse. Somehow allowing those abusers to remain in the church hierarchy needs so much more than an apology.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
