Random Tidbits

Dogs have been with us a long time. The first dogs were self-domesticated wolves which, at least 12,000 years ago, became attracted to the first sites of permanent human habitation.

Cats, on the other hand, have lived with people for only 7,000 years.

My Rambling Thoughts

Trip countdown continues…can’t wait to get on that plane to Moscow. Lots to do between now and then.

Another warm day, I headed out early to pick up some stuff for the trip. So nice to have the windows and doors open, bring in a slight breeze.

I’m looking forward to a trip with limited wi-fi and no American TV.

What is going on in the Dominican Republic? Tourists dropping dead, baseball player shot in an open-air restaurant. I sure hope they figure it out soon. DR is a poor country and has over 6million tourists a year. That will change if answers aren’t made public.

9-11 responders are suffering. Those men and women headed into an unknown situation and now they have diseases directly tied to their bravery. And Congress keeps coming up with ways to cut their compensation. Right now, there is talk of cutting their compensation by 70%. And at today’s hearing, many members of the sub-committee’s seats were vacant. I guess they were too busy. This is a National disgrace, much like the way we treat Veterans who are also suffering. The mantra ‘We will never forget’ needs to be loud and clear and followed with action from Congress.
