Today’s Quote

Tis better to buy a small bouquet
And give to your friend this very day,
Than a bushel of roses white and red
To lay on his coffin after he's dead.

Random Tidbits

Historically, the American film industry portrayed the Foreign Legion as having a reputation as a haven for cut-throats and fugitives from justice.

This image is largely out of date since the legion now conducts extensive background checks via Interpol.

My Rambling Thoughts

About a week before my planned trip I bought a 12 Mega roll pack of TP. Glad I did, as when I went shopping late yesterday, Sam's, Fry's, and WalMart had nothing but empty shelves where toilet paper should be. Something is off. Corona Virus is a lung infection and does not cause diarrhea. How many months are people planning on self-quarantine? When TP becomes available again, I expect to see much higher prices. Guess it will remain a mystery until TP is available again.

Talked to Ellie this morning and was happy to hear that everyone made it back to their homes safely. Also found out that many of us tried to apply by phone for our refund and, like me, never got a call back. Most of us registered on line. Some got a case number, others, like me, didn't get an email reply yet. It's the weekend and they are closed, so I'll check again on Monday. Many of us got phone calls from Oceania Cruises to offer us credit + for our next cruise. I was offered 125%, some from Focus said they were offered 150%. All I can say is thank you so much to all the Tumlare, Focus, and Oceania staffs for their long, hard work of keeping customers happy. It is appreciated more than words can express.

Today’s Puzzle
Answer at the bottom of the page

An Arab sheik is old and must will his fortune to one of his two sons. He makes a proposition. His two sons will ride their camels in a race, and whichever camel crosses the finish line LAST will win the fortune for its owner. During the race, the two brothers wander aimlessly for days, neither willing to cross the finish line. In desperation, they ask a wise man for advice. He tells them something; then the brothers leap onto the camels and charge toward the finish line. What did the wise man say?
