Today’s  Quote

"There are no secrets to success.

It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure."

Random Tidbits

America's aircraft carriers are the largest in the world. The Nimitz class carriers have an overall length of 1,092 feet. The newest super carriers, the Gerald R. Ford class, have the same length, but carry about a 3,00-ton greater displacement than the Nimitz class.

One the most deadly airplane accidents actually happened on the ground. In 1977, two fully loaded planes carrying a total of over 600 passengers collided head-on in the middle of the runway in what is now known as the Tenerife Accident, named after Tenerife Island, where the accident occurred. Over 500 people died.

My Rambling Thoughts

It is the start of another week of staying home and staying safe. Getting really tired of all this mask stuff.

Read this morning that Walmart, Lowes, Walgreens, and CVS have mask requirements. The problem is they are not going to enforce the requirement. WTH? They have all posted signs, but if a customer doesn’t have a mask, they will be reminded once, then allowed to proceed to shop without a mask. They claim that they don’t want to have any physical confrontations against their employees. I understand that, but the real bottom line for these companies is money. Their signs have nothing to do with Covid it is simply a publicity ploy.

Another mask thing I read: The non-mask wearing people who are angry when they see a Mask Required sign at a place of business are suddenly getting an education about Whites Only signs from days long gone.
