My Rambling Thoughts

I’m having major computer issues. It is slower than molasses in Alaska in December. I’ve tried everything I know to no avail. Not sure what my next step will be.

Yesterday I have my annual wellness check required by Medicare. All is good. I’m a year older, I am not depressed, life is good, I see my dentist and eye doc regularly, I have no new aches or pains, Covid is boring. A1C is good. Heart and lungs are still working well. Told the Doc I’ll see you next year for this crazy checkup.

I talked to my brother on his birthday. He’s very busy in Mexico. They are building a new wing for guest rooms at the hacienda. All is going well, except it rains almost every day, so they can’t work very fast as the ground is ‘goosh-y’. It has also slowed progress on the dog run and all the rescues really need it. Laura is doing work in the states, so he went to a friend’s house for his birthday dinner.

A friend, one of my former student’s sons, celebrated his son’s 2nd birthday yesterday. So cool to see the great party they had for him.

Trump came to AZ and gave his ‘angry’ speech. Just can’t please him. Then we read that 545 children who were separated from their parents during the lock up may never see their parents again. ‘Slipped through the cracks’ is not humane.

Flagstaff has finally finished widening a main bridge over I-40. The bridge weighs 3.5 million pounds. It was put in place with hydraulic jacks and 14 GALLONS of Dawn dish soap. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Looks like our warm weather is about to end. Monday should have a high of 36. Light snow is possible.  Not to freak out, Wednesday high should be 55.
