Random Tidbits

Taller men may earn more money on average than shorter men, according to research conducted in Australia. It may be that shorter men experience discrimination in response to their stature, suggest the authors, while taller men may enjoy a boost in social status.

The location of your mailbox shows you how far away from your house you can go in a robe before you start looking like a mental patient.

True Things

The NFL has traditionally used Roman numerals to denote the number of the Big Game, but for the 50th Super Bowl, they decided to go with just the number 50. Why? Sports fans use the letters W and L as shorthand for “win” and “loss.” Because the Roman numeral for 50 is L, the NFL worried that Super Bowl L would be, in PR terms, a big loser.

My Rambling Thoughts

A windy Sunday. Dry pine needles piling up on deck, sidewalk, and street. It sure looks like a storm is coming. Flagstaff has a 30% chance of snow through Tuesday morning. Hoping for any kind of moisture. Saw some great pics around Colorado recent snow on Facebook.

Pence has 5 aides testing positive. He is not choosing to quarantine but will be out, with his so-far healthy staff campaigning. This behavior reminds me of the ostrich that sticks its head in the sand. According to Mark Meadows, the administration does not release names of positive tests, or of their condition. It is becoming more and more obvious that this administration wants to push herd immunity…even when medical pros say it is a very bad idea. Vote Nov 3!

The Stone Age didn’t end because we ran out of stones; the Fossil Fuel Age will not end because we ran out of fossil fuels. The Stone Age ended because of a little thing called advancement. Same is true now.

Have to watch the Broncos online…not on our TV stations. Boo!
