My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

Nice fall day…maybe some moisture later today.

My arm is a little sore after my old person’s flu shot yesterday…but I’m protected.

The Mauna Loa Volcano summit in Hawaii has been ‘closed until further notice’ due to heightened volcanic activity there. WOW!

The entire Uvalde Police Force has been suspended. They had hired a cop who was under investigation for the incident. Seriously, how can they be so out of touch?

I was listening to NPR and the discussion was around electric vehicles…the usual: where to put charging stations, the electrical grid overload, battery recycling, etc. It dawned on me: If electric is really the way to go, why are the proponents not blasting the media with how great their personal electric vehicle really is? Does Joe and Kamala travel in electric vehicles? Do all the congress people and senators who voted for it driving around town in their electric vehicle? If they are still using fossil fuel vehicles, are they not just a tad hypocritical? Is it ‘What is good for thee is not good for me?’ Just wondering?

Superstitions

Rabbit's Foot

The idea of rabbits being lucky is part of Celtic lore. The idea sprung from the fact that they live underground, which made people at the time think they had a direct line of communication with the gods. In more recent times, the animal’s reputation for being fertile made rabbit-themed charms popular among women hoping to conceive. Most rabbit foot charms today are actually just made of fake fur and plastic, but the association is still there.
