Today’s Thoughts

A nice fall day. Enjoying the sunshine with little wind.

Locally here: The voters spoke with a 2-1 NO vote on the new hospital. It became very apparent to voters that the major problems with the current hospital was the working conditions of medical staff that doesn’t like the constant turnover of Drs., nurses, and technicians…due to low pay and management directives. A beautiful new building will not correct the current issues.

There has been a lot of stories on the Israel-Gaza war. In studying the war, media is now addressing the difference between Hamas and Palestinian people. There are many Palestinian people who do not support Hamas, yet many have always seen them as the same. The last election in Gaza put Hamas in charge. Since the last election…9 years ago…Hamas members has broken every cease fire, killed many Palestinian children and elderly.  Hamas has a strong hold in Gaza, and many Palestinians believe there is nothing they can do to stop Hamas. It is a very sad situation. Palestinians recognize that if they speak against Hamas, they will arrested, put in a prison, or be killed.

Enjoy

Words pronounced differently in the North and South States…

You know those mini-lobsters that live in creeks and streams rather than the ocean? The majority of the south calls them crawfish, while the north kind of switches between crawdad and crayfish.

Random Trivia…

Fate or Random Chance?©pinterest

Some things just aren’t meant to be, and sometimes that's actually for the best. A New York woman decided to end it all by jumping off the Empire State Building’s 86th floor, only to be blown back safely onto the floor below by a strong wind. Let’s all hope she took advantage of this new lease on life that she was lucky enough to get!

After all, that's the sort of freak occurrence that does tend to drive people to religion, or at the very least some kind of epiphany.
