My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

It’s a chilly day.

I remember a time, not so long ago, that when the Feds said something, people listened and obeyed. Not happening in AZ these days. Our Governor put up a bunch of storage containers at the border to stop trafficking. The Feds said, ‘you can’t do that’, the courts agreed. Gov. Ducey didn’t. He has just ordered as many as 2700 more containers to put in another area to protect all of America. This is even more disturbing because AZ has Republicans on the ballot for Gov, Sec. of State, US Senate, and House seats who agree with Ducey. The Republican running for Governor says that ‘on day one, hour one, I will declare an invasion (Article 1 Section 10) and invoke the US constitution to stop the illegal immigrants. She has also suggested removing the Federal government from AZ citizen’s lives.

Remembering the Waukesha Christmas Parade where a man drove his SUV into the parade and killed 6. He was just found guilty of many counts of homicide.

"Apache" by Various artists (1960)

Several artists have covered or sampled this popular track written by Englishman Jerry Lordan and made famous by The Shadows in 1960. It was in the early 1970s that the version by the Incredible Bongo Band became a hip-hop anthem. Almost a decade later, the Sugarhill Gang turned it into a dance-party staple for group and line dancers around the world.
