My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts

Warm weather has returned to our mountain town. Hope it stays around.

Back in my early time in Flagstaff I used Frontier Airlines to get from Flagstaff to Denver a couple of times a year. Many times, the flights were ‘puddle jumpers’ with a couple of quick landings in Durango and Colorado Springs. It was OK because it was faster than driving and cheaper than flying from Phoenix. Then Frontier left Flag. About 5 years ago I was flying to Denver and took a Frontier flight from Phoenix. They had cheap prices but charged me $50 for my carry-on. That was the last time I used Frontier. Today’s news says that Spirit and Frontier want to join up as a large low cost airline. If it goes through, I suggest reading the small print before flying with them.

The Olympics are having some great events…last night Nathan Chan performed the highest scoring short program ever. Glad I was watching. It is worth a few hours every day.

I went to Wally World to get some ‘essentials’ that are necessary and inexpensive there. Then I stopped to get my vehicle washed and waxed. It was pretty dirty from the latest snowstorm and Flag now uses chemicals on the main roads and they leave quite a film on vehicles.

Here’s an interesting article to read: An all-Native American NFL team was founded 100 years ago – to promote a dog kennels
