Happily, I didn’t get any of the soreness the nurse promised me after my shots. That is nice.

I learned this morning that Mary Travers, of PPM had passed yesterday. I pulled out my ol’ iPod and listened to the albums I had downloaded. Folk Music, especially PPM have always been a part of my music collection. I don’t know if it is the message, the vocal range, the beat, or what. I just know that is ‘gets me going’ and most songs give me hope for a better world. Once we know about the issue we can do something to change it. PPM never sold out. They were always questioning, through music, the injustices in the world. Their music, their PBS specials, and their voices will be missed…a lot. May she Rest in Peace, knowing that she did good in her earthly time.

Fall is slowing coming. Mid 60’s today and low 40’s last night. The weather guy says that Snow Bowl, our controversial ski area, should have great skiing this winter. Of course this is probably just hype. Flagstaff needs to have the tourist business. Time will tell.

Wichita, Kansas police say the two 44-year-olds had climbed into the dumpster to be alone just after 6 p.m. when two men interrupted them and demanded their belongings.
Officers say the man and woman were engaged in “an intimate moment” when they were robbed of their shoes, jewelry and the man’s wallet.
One of the robbers was a 64-year-old man who egged his 59-year-old companion on during the robbery.
The suspects were found a short time later and the stolen property was returned. The couples’ dignity, however, has yet to be recovered.
