My
Rambling Thoughts
Another hot day
at 7000’. Awoke this morning with smoke all around Flagstaff. Freaked a little
until I turned on NPR and found that we are getting smoke from the CA fires. It
must be horrible in California. And if the smoke wasn’t enough, it is expected
to reach 90+ today. Portable Cooler has been on since 8a and doing a decent
job. Working hard to stay hydrated. No moisture until the weekend. UGH!
My newspaper
carrier gets the paper near my unit most days. I called when I had no paper
this morning. The idiots promised it would be delivered by 11a. At 11:15 my
neighbor came over with my paper. Seems someone came by early (before 6:30a)
this morning and thought the paper belonged to the neighbor, so took it inside
and put it on a counter. When my neighbor saw it, she brought it back. I called
the paper call center, in Montana, to tell them that story and to tell them I
never got a replacement paper. And that I am paying to have the paper to be
delivered to MY unit, and not any of the units in the nearby area. I’ll see if
that does any good. I figure the driver is just too lazy to get out of the
vehicle to get the paper to the right unit.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet
sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned
that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there,
many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events
occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be
totally accurate.
