Verl Whitman plead guilty before Justice of the Peace Max Millers
and was sentenced to pay $50 or be jailed for 40 days. He was said to have
taken two gallons of gas from one of the Lee Moore Construction Company's power
shovels and then leaving the plug out of the tank, allowing 30 more gallons to
drain away. He paid the $50 and was released.
It was 85 degrees on Saturday, with 6 inches of rain Friday and
Wednesday.

A couple attended marriage counseling to
resolve communication problems. The fighting and bickering during the session
was so bad the counselor called for a timeout and told them he was ending the
session early but had an assignment for the husband.
“John,” the marriage counselor said, “you’re an athletic guy… here’s what I want you to do. I want you to jog 10 miles every day for the next 30 days. At the end of the 30 days call me and let me know how things are going.”
John agreed.

CO – Two airport screeners at DIA collaborated in an ongoing ploy in
which one, a male, signaled to a female colleague that he had spotted an
attractive male passenger in line that he might like to grope. The female would
then suddenly notice an ‘anomaly’ in the screening and ask that passenger to
stand aside so the male agent could ‘inspect’ him further—by genital and posterior
fondling (over his clothing). The two agents were fired after a TSA investigator,
having been alerted to the scheme, observed it in action.
