My Rambling Thoughts

Our retirement group met for lunch. I’d never been to a Subway Café. It had great Subway sandwiches and a nice open dining area with low and high tables. Different and enjoyable. I shared news about my Mexico Christmas, Mary shared some great photos by her professional photographer daughter. Cheryl caught us up on her life in Williams.

I was a tad freaked out last night when I heard President Trump talk about the wall that he is going to build in Colorado. First I wondered how I was going to get to Tahiti/Bora Bora in March since Focus leaves from Denver. Then I wondered if a passport would be enough ID to get into Colorado. Finally I thought about my friends in New Mexico and wondered why he was blocking them from Colorado. Over the decades I have heard numerous stories about New Mexicans being denied various things…like Olympic tickets in the US section…because they didn’t live in the US.

Thanks to NPR I listened to much of the Facebook’s Zuckerberg testimony about his company’s proposed cryptocurrency yesterday. I’m not a cryptocurrency fan, and it was clear to me that Mark didn’t really know what his company is doing about it. He seems to be the CEO type who hires good people, let’s them be innovative but does not have a handle on what they are doing. It is time for some real regulation.
