My Rambling Thoughts

Beautiful fall day. Did a nice morning walk. Just saw a group of teens riding bikes through the neighborhood without jackets.

Got my plane reservations and shuttle reservations for Dec. I fly Southwest to Chicago. No problem with a flight in, but on the 26^th, when I return, there were only 2 flights available…and neither was as cheap as the flight over there. Can’t complain, I get to see my brother, his wife and her family. Now to start the shopping.

I’ve been complaining about the robocalls. Somehow, I forgot to complain about the mailed flyers. I get about 8 a day, just like the robocalls. Wish there was a do not mail list.

For 3-1/2 decades I had to deal with Daylight time. AZ doesn’t change, except for the Navajo Reservation. So, every time I came to town, I had to change my watch.  A real pain. This year I just let it slip by. I remembered this afternoon when I turned on the TV and realized that the cable channels are now an hour off. Not the local Phoenix channels, just every other channel. I hope everyone is adjusting well.

I watched some news this morning. Interesting how each network is hedging their choices, saying, it all depends on how many people who up at the polls. All the news channels need a new way to cover politics. I’m all for 5-10 minutes per hour to tell us the bills that have passed, no covering campaign rallies, and no more than 2 political ads per day per channel. Also have one channel that covers nothing but politics, for those who need more.
