Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Can’t
complain…another sunny warm spring day.
The
committee keeps saying they will have televised hearings this week. Even though
I was working all day, I still remember the Watergate and Clinton impeachment televised
hearings. I guess I’ll be watching these too.
I also
remember growing up and living in a time where I listened to different opinions…so
that I could form my own opinions. In today’s world, now I am hearing different
facts…many of which can’t be verified. It is a totally different world and I’m
not happy with it.
Time to do
some laundry…it is always there and always waiting for me.

with a Dark Meaning
Running amok
You know,
when things get a little wild, crazy, or out of control. The word Amok comes
from the Amuco, a band of Javanese and Malay warriors who would go on killing
sprees for unknown reasons. There was believed to be some sort of mental
condition afflicting those peoples.
Captain
James Cook wrote about it in 1772: “To run amok is to … sally forth from the
house, kill the person or persons supposed to have injured the Amock, and any
other person that attempts to impede his passage.”
Riddle of the Day
First, think of the color of the clouds. Next,
think of the color of snow. Now, think of the color of a bright full moon. Now
answer quickly what do cows drink?
Some riddles work by getting your brain to go
through a series of associations so you get locked in and can’t think of
alternatives. Be careful with this riddle. Is the question really connected to
that color you were asked to think about? Most folks say that cows drink milk
because they’re fixated on the color white.
