Thoughts
It’s
starting out to be another very warm day. Yesterday’s storms cause road
problems, highway closure, and yard flooding for many in the path of water from
the latest burn. More monsoon rain expected later today.
The man who
burned toilet paper now seems to have no connection to the devastating Pipeline
fire here. He did get a 1-year probation for burning the toilet paper. The
investigation continues.
The Secret
Service is now saying that text messages from Jan. 5 & 6, 2021 were erased
during an upgrade that took place after they were told to keep all text
messages. Seems hard to believe.
The real
estate market in Manhattan is insane. First, 40% of office space is vacant. Second,
a studio apartment now averages $5K/month to rent.
The economy
is not getting better. June saw a 11.3% increase in wholesale prices. That will
soon be met with a similar increase in retail prices.
Congress continues
to be asleep. Semi-conductors are used in cars, computers, phones, and many
other things. Taiwan produces 90% of all semiconductors used in the USA.
Congress is not passing legislation to make semiconductor production more
easily available in the US.

a day.
Amid the
many hundreds of diet books are really only four basic rules for weight loss:
1) eat carbs in the form of whole grains or fiber, 2) avoid trans and saturated
fats, 3) eat lean protein, and 4) eat lots of fruits and veggies.
