Thoughts for the day
It’s much cooler but still nice. There is a cool breeze. A nice way to celebrate my birthday...3/4 century +1
In today’s world it is becoming more
and more difficult to determine who is telling the truth. I’m fed up with that.
These lies are destroying our country, right before our eyes. For example, All
the major news networks announce that USAID funds have been cancelled. Lots of consternation.
Yesterday, Musk, while attending a cabinet meeting, says that yes, the funds
were temporarily stopped on EBOLA but that it was a minor problem, and the
funds were restored very quickly. He added mistakes will be made, but they were
also corrected as soon as they are found. Today the major news networks and the
USAID workers are stating everywhere that the Ebola funds have not been restored.
For a democracy to survive the people must know where the truth is.
Forgotten American Heros…
Belle Boyd
Belle Boyd, a Confederate spy during
the American Civil War, provided valuable intelligence to the Southern forces.
Her charm and wit enabled her to
extract information from Union officers, which she relayed via secret messages.
Boyd's espionage efforts were instrumental in several Confederate victories.
Despite facing arrest and
imprisonment, she remained steadfast in her mission. Boyd’s story reflects the
complexities of loyalty and espionage during turbulent times.
Her daring exploits and relentless
dedication to her cause have made her a fascinating figure in Civil War
history.
Common Misconceptions…
“George Washington never cut down a
cherry tree, it was a story from Mason Weems that he wrote in a book after
Washington’s death to profit off of his namesake.”
“Benjamin Franklin did not "invent" electricity, he simply expanded
on what was currently known about it.”
Random Thoughts…
