My Rambling Thoughts
What a frustrating day. I called my
blood doc’s office to find out about the CPAP machine issue. The nurse had
promised to call last week, but no big surprise, she didn’t. I let the phone
answerer that I did not appreciate being ignored. She connected with another
nurse who helps out when my Dr.’s nurse is ‘busy’. She had to hear the whole
damn story and promised to call me back in within 2 hours. She did, only to
tell me she was still working on it. Then around noon I get a call from the ‘really’
nurse…the one I’ve been dealing with. She said she finally got to talk to my
Dr. It only took her 3 friggin’ weeks for a 5 minute conversation. She said the
Dr. was not really familiar with the settings and that I should call my PCP. I
let her know how disgusted I was with the office inefficiency and asked her if
she would stand in if I needed another phlebotomy. She apologized and said it
was all on her. So I call my PCP and retell the whole friggin’ story…again. The
nurse says she will call the provider of the machine and get back to me. TEN
minutes later the machine guy calls and says to bring the machine in at 4p and
he will see what he can do to reset it. He probably won’t do anything until my
PCP tells him to, but at least I’m getting somewhere. About an hour later the PCP office called, to check and see if the machine guy had called and to set up a new appointment to 'discuss' my CPAP machine. Seems it will take another sleep study to determine if I even need a machine. Really?!? Find the right people, on
the right day, at the right time, get a little pissed, and everything suddenly
starts working. Life….
No good news on McCain’s return to DC
after his surgery. But, the Dr. won’t let him fly, so he says he is happy to
drive back. Within a few minutes of his press release about driving, the leader
of the senate says they still aren’t ready to put the bill up to a vote.
Another political story falls apart. No surprise.
“Made in America” is off and running.
Wow, none of his daughter’s clothing line, and much of his clothing line is Not
Made in America, but that is not important. Great…we are selling beef to China.
WOW. Stop the presses, pull out the balloons, and start cheering.
Our monsoon was late yesterday, didn’t
start raining until nearly dark and it was just a light rain, but all moisture
is important. And the weatherman is saying it is only going to get better. Of
course it brings new safety concerns about flash flooding. Over the weekend an
entire family of 9 was lost in a popular swimming area when a flash flood came
through the area near Payson. I’ve been close to one flash flood, about 40
years ago, but that was enough for me. When rains come to our area, I am not
going to be found in any slot canyons.

In Northeast Ohio, nothing is given.
Everything is earned. You work for what you have. I'm ready to accept the
challenge. I'm coming home. LeBron James wrote these words in an open letter -
published in Sports Illustrated - to announce his return to the Cleveland
Cavaliers on Friday, July 11, 2014. He began his NBA career with the Cavs but
infamously "took his talents to South Beach" and joined the Miami
Heat in 2010. An Akron native, James went back to where his professional
basketball career began four years later, so he could bring a long-sought
championship to the city of Cleveland. (And in 2016, he did just that.) Source:

‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one

once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore
difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar
was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
