Largest flower

The Corpse flower, also known as Rafflesia arnoldii. The poetically named posy boasts the largest bloom in the world, measuring in at 3-feet wide with blossoms that weigh 15 pounds.

The blue whale. When a baby blue whale is born, it measures up to 25 feet and weighs up to three tons. Growing to lengths of up to 100 feet and weighing up to 200 tons, the blue whale is, in fact, the biggest animal known to live on Earth.

My Rambling Thoughts

I needed a blood test before seeing my kidney doc. Called and canceled the appointment; they will call in June or whenever this virus thing lets us out again. Keeping track of all the cancellations is filling up my spreadsheet. I can't imagine what the offices are doing. Most of the doctors in town have a waiting list of a couple of weeks to be seen. So glad I'm retired.

News out of N. Korea is never very reliable, but now international news organizations are reporting That Kim Jong Un is 'gravely ill', 'dead', or 'incapacitated'. A power vacuum there is not going to help with this pandemic.

Last night's 60 Minutes was one of their best. Lots of good and truthful information about Corona Virus. I learned about Blue Dot computer tracking and saw some of what they are doing at Cheyenne Mountain, near Colorado Springs. I remember when Cheyenne Mtn opened during the Cold War. That put Colorado high on the possible strike locations in the US. If anyone missed it, I'm sure it still available on the internet or thru your cable provider. It's worth the a little time to find it.

Ever since I started with my blood problems, another side effect is easily bruising my hand and/or arm. My dad had the same issues when he was elderly. Anyway, I had one such bruise on the back of my hand. Then I actually hit the same hand on the corner of the nightstand. That actually tore the skin. Pressure stopped the bleeding so then I put a liquid bandage on the cut. After about 5 days, the liquid bandage finally came off. It was near my wrist, so didn't affect my hand-washing routine. All better now.
